Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) will vote on a framework for the Social Studies standards (TEKS) that will be drafted later this year.
Registration for testimony has now closed. But you can still email the SBOE until tomorrow by the end of the day.
Please reach out to your Texas House member, as well as the members of the House State Affairs Committee and thank them for the having a committee hearing on these bills and thank them for helping move these bills out of committee and to the next step for a full Texas House vote! Again – these bills are:
(1) SB 8 – Texas Women’s Privacy Act (already passed the Texas Senate), and
(2) HB 7 – Pro-Life Act that protects women from harmful chemical abortion drugs that are flooding into our state in the mail!
Please be courteous on the call and express your thanks for last week’s hearing and for voting these bills forward!
Tomorrow, (Friday, August 22) at 8 a.m. the Texas House Committee on State Affairs will have a public hearing on the Texas Women’s Privacy Act, SB 8.
Please show up and testify in favor of this bill!
The committee plans to limit testimony, so please arrive at 7 a.m. in order to register.
However, we need a quorum in the Texas House in order for SB 7, the Texas Women’s Privacy Act to pass in the Texas House and head to the Governor’s desk to become law in the state of Texas!
We have enough time to pass the Texas Women’s Privacy Act this session!
Contact your Texas House member and thank your member for showing up during the Special Session. Let your Texas House member know that as soon as the Texas House makes quorum, you want the Texas House to pass The Texas Women’s Privacy Act.
